Can’t believe I was an hour’s journey from the National Mall for 5 days in February and didn’t go there to see this! I plan on squeezing in a visit during my short east coast stint in July…thank God for that Aug 8th ending date!

Although my uncle’s life was cut too short due to this disease, I feel tremendously grateful that he lived in a place where he had full access to cutting edge AIDS treatments. It allowed for him to be here long enough for me to get to know him…and miss him. I was lucky but, of course, this is not the case for everyone whose life has been affected by AIDS (to whatever degree that may be). If nothing else, become/remain educated.
